**JOB SUMMARY**

Vaughan’s leading hotel is seeking an experienced Catering Sales Manager whom is passionate about progressing their career in the Hospitality industry on a full-time basis for the Element Vaughan Southwest Hotel. Reporting to the Area Director of Sales & Marketing, the Catering Sales Manager role is a leadership position which leads all aspects of catering solutions and special events. If you possess attention to detail and high organizational skills, passionate about catering and event services, have strong decision-making skills and are enthusiastic, this position is for you

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

The Catering Sales Manager duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

- Respond to all inquiries in an effort to capture additional market share
- Issue proposals, contracts, negotiate and closes business
- Manage and service key clients as well as prospect potential new clients
- Negotiate prices, prepare accurate quotes and prepare contracts and Banquet Event Orders
- Follow Brand’s Billing and Credit standards for all events
- Prepare Banquet Event Orders, issue updates and distribute to all pertaining departments
- Place follow-up calls to clients upon completion of events and re-solicit business
- Deliver exceptional guest service and strong financial results
- Regularly update forecasts to ensure financial accuracy
- Conduct Site Inspections
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required
- Knowledge of the operations of the hotel industry
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed
- Must have proven selling, negotiating and presentation skills
- Requires knowledge of advanced sales techniques
- Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail

**What we need from you**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years Hotel Catering Sales experience
- Ability to communicate in the English language both written and verbal
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook. Salesforce and CI/TY experience preferred
- Must have a valid Canadian open work permit
