Barista

**Job Summary**:
The Barista at Beaucoup Bakery is responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests, delivering exceptional service, and maintaining high standards of quality. This role includes engaging with patrons, preparing specialty coffee and pastries, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Greet guests warmly and professionally, fostering relationships and providing personalized experiences.
- Adhere to opening and closing procedures diligently.
- Take orders, offer product recommendations, and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks and baked goods according to Beaucoup Bakery’s standards.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, baking techniques, allergens, and French pastry trends.
- Organize cakes and pastries each morning and evening to ensure an attractive display in both the fridge and at room temperature.
- Warm baked goods for customers as needed.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with coworkers, providing support and collaboration.
- Educate customers by explaining the coffee menu, baked goods, and other merchandise.
- Handle phone calls, respond to customer inquiries, and take orders.
- Attract new customers and boost revenue by introducing seasonal items and expanding services and products.
- Ensure equipment operates effectively by following instructions, troubleshooting issues, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and arranging repairs when necessary.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, share tasks, and promote teamwork.
- Package and present pastries attractively.
- Organize deliveries under the supervision of the supervisors and cafe manager.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including washing dishes and keeping the back kitchen, front bar area, salon, and restrooms clean.
- Deliver high-quality coffee, latte art, and baked goods consistently.
- Guide customers in line, ensuring they receive prompt attention and no one is overlooked.
- Dust shelves and other necessary areas to maintain cleanliness.
- Address issues, concerns, or suggestions with the Lead Barista and Supervisors.
- Be flexible with shift availability.
- Report and verify received deliveries with the delivery personnel and share pictures of deliveries in the group chat.

**Qualifications**:

- Passionate about French pastries and coffee, with knowledge of traditional French pastry techniques and flavor profiles.
- At least 1 year of experience in a hospitality or service environment, with a focus on exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both guests and team members.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively and maintain composure under pressure.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Pay: From $17.85 per hour

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (required)
- Barista: 1 year (preferred)
