**Civil Estimator**

**Main Reporting Location**: Lively Office

**Position Availability**: Immediately

**Duties**:Under the general supervision of the Operations & Field Managers
- Compile cost estimates for civil work (material take-offs, proposed manpower, etc.).
- Estimate in tandem with other trade estimators.
- Compose concise methodologies for the work.
- Assist in the change order process for current projects.
- Participate in pre-close meetings for tenders.
- Work with the contract administrator to ensure all required documentation for submission is complete.
- Provide timelines, manpower loading, and constraints to the project scheduler for the creation of bid schedules.
- Participate in site visits for the work being estimated.

**Qualifications**:

- Civil construction background mandatory.
- Two-five years of related work experience.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of construction best practices, materials, and applicable regulations.
- Knowledge of contract language, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills in dealing with Client representatives and stakeholders.
- Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing.
- Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess a valid driver’s license, have an acceptable driving record (travel to/from Sault Ste. Marie may be required.).
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work with little supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Positive attitude with strong relationship building skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.

**Wage to be negotiated based on experience, references required.**

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Lively, ON P3Y 1L6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: In person
