**Overview of Position**:The Systems Technician, plays a key role in both the R&D and Product Development workflow. Design, fabrication, maintenance, calibration and repair of airborne sensor systems and GPS instruments on a helicopter and UAV platforms, coupled with planning and monitoring of key components of the airborne operation. Works with the support team to assist in diagnosing complex issues that require time-sensitive solutions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to system development including electrical sub-system circuit and circuit board design
- Maintain, calibrate, and repair airborne systems
- Assist Airborne Systems Operator with project pre-planning and support
- Daily communication between Field Operations
- Assist in monitoring the quality of collected data
- Routine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Participation in the quality management system by working to document processes and procedures, as well as offering recommendations on improvement opportunities.

**Qualifications**:

- Post secondary education related to Electronics industries or relevant experience.
- Understanding of the installation, maintenance and repair of aerial mapping sensors including LiDAR, GPS, and Specialized Camera Sensors.
- Experience with GIS and remote sensing software packages, as well as knowledge of basic GPS.
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to build longstanding business relationships
- Ability to work as a critical member of an operating team
- Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of DC electronics and signal flow.
- Ability to travel, some travel for work may be required.
