**Job description**

**Maintenance Skills & Experiences**:

- Perform repairs and general maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting.
- Conduct removal and installation of sinks, toilets, and cabinets
- Perform carpentry and painting tasks
- Maintain common areas in the building
- Respond to all emergencies promptly
- Knowledge of Ontario Fire Code and Building Codes required
- Knowledge or experience in using work orders
- Check for any water penetration or water stains on ceilings
- Assist and accompany all service personnel to maintenance areas (door to be opened and locked)
- Coordinate disposal of hazardous material with the Property Manager.
- Respond to all emergencies, including fires, elevator malfunctions, floods, power failures, and other urgent matters
- Garbage - responsible for removing compactor bins from the compactor and taking them outside to designated area for weekly pick up, replacing bin to compactor. To take out recycling bins weekly and maintain them in good order.

**Cleaning Skills & Experiences**

Job responsibilities/functions to include, but are not limited to:

- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs;
- Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary;
- Proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals;
- Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times;
- General maintenance of grounds; to include maintaining the grounds, cutting of lawn, raking and sweeping exterior grounds, and additional green space on the 2nd level.
- Clean vacant units upon direction from the Site Manager;
- To maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies;
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery as needed
- Possess physical abilities to walk, bend, push, pull, and lift repetitively during working hours
- Interact with residents, visitors, staff, and tradespeople professionally
- Perform any other related duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Previous maintenance experience within a residential property is required
- Ability to work with and relate to a diverse client base, including people of various cultures, abilities, and social and economic backgrounds. Must maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision. This position requires a high degree of self-initiation
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Check required upon hire

**Experience**:
Previous experience as a Live-In Superintendent preferred, with a minimum of 5 years

**Salary**: $38,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
