Position Summary
The Detailer Supervisor role is responsible for the Province of BC (British Columbia), looking after the stores and team members. The rol is responsible for planning weekly workloads to achieve departmental objectives working with the stores to ensure the effiecient flow of product. The supervisor will be responsible for the effective scheduling of employees to ensure appropriate staffing levels and delegating task so employees can create and maintain a consistent high level of customer satisfaction. The supervisor's main function is to over see the team's performance, and the overall health and safety and wellbeing of each team member.
**Responsibilities**:
- Recruit and oversee training for new team members - Full Time, Part Time and Seasonal
- Responsible for ongoing performance management and time management for all team members.
- Manage employee workload and assign help when necessary, including assistance with store resets - as applicable.
- Manage inventory level at stores within territory.
- Develop and maintain relationship with customer management in all assigned stores.
- Assist when needed with lifting, merchandising, and completing orders.
- Assist when needed with any basic maintenance.
- Monitor and manage staffing for special projects and re-sets within assigned territory, including regular communication with National Accounts Manager.
- Weekly travel to Stores in Vancouver is required and periodic travel to surrounding area Stores.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
- Overtime hours may be required based on territory. Compensation would align with provincial requirements.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or higher. College or University degree preferred.
- 3-5 years in a retail vendor or big box environment, supervising staff, delegating tasks, and managing performance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (as may be necessary).
- Comfortable using handheld device for ordering inventory.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office) specifically MS Excel and Outlook.
- Performs functions with a sense of purpose and a degree of urgency.
- Creates a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills (oral & written).
- Travel is required; vaccination is required where air travel is necessary.
