We are on the hunt for a sharp, resourceful and clever Legal Administrative Assistant or Law Clerk well versed in domestic and international trademarks to support our client’s Intellectual Property team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys helping outwit challenges, managing complex documentation and thrives in the fast-paced world of trademarks.
**What you will be doing: **
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to a team, including opening and closing files, maintaining client contact information in database, drafting routine correspondence, and maintaining practice management systems, etc.
- Assist by preparing, revising, and attending to electronic filings and prosecution, registration, renewal and management of trademark portfolios and related reports.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of all necessary correspondence and related documents with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) and World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO).
- Classify goods and services.
- Track critical dates and initiate follow-up action as required.
- Liaise with clients, lawyers, and other external parties as required.
- Assist with docketing and invoicing processes.
**What you will bring to the position**:
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years’ of experience gained as a Legal Administrative Assistant in Intellectual Property and Trademarks.
- Completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, Aderant, ProLaw, and iManage; knowledge of ALT Legal is viewed as an asset.
- Familiarity with Inprotech, CIPO and WIPO’s online systems.

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
