Your Opportunity:
The Patient Food Service Supervisor reports to the Manager of Patient Food Services at the Foothills Medical Centre. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of day-to-day site food service activities. The position works with a dynamic team of supervisors to provide direct supervision to front-line food service staff and maintains an efficient operation of patient food services.
Description:
Responsibilities of a Patient Food Service Supervisor include performance management, recruitment, training, staff scheduling, payroll management and discipline of area employees. Responsible for monitoring operational performance targets including budget and inventory management to achieve quality food service goals using a customer-focused approach. Also responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations as well as implementation and monitoring of quality improvement, risk management and safety standards. Communication and collaboration with the Nutritional Services Team (Clinical Dietitians) to ensure diet orders are implemented appropriately is vital. While working at FMC you will be responsible for ensuring the correct adult and infant formula orders are processed correctly. Ongoing communication will other clinical team members to ensure correct therapeutic diets and formulas have been ordered will be a daily occurrence. In this position, there is a strong focus on clinical knowledge for therapeutic diets, and infant formulas. This position exercises considerable independence in performing duties and meeting management objectives. Performs other related duties as assigned.
