**Position Overview**

We are hiring a **permanent, full-time Ceramic Production Artist** to join our busy studio team in Vancouver. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role requiring focus, consistency, and attention to fine detail. You will be part of a high-output production studio creating one-of-a-kind ceramic keepsakes for pet owners across Canada.

This position is ideal for someone who already has experience in ceramics—or for someone with transferable skills from other meticulous, production-based crafts. We are seeking individuals with a genuine passion for craftsmanship and a strong foundation in hand-eye coordination, repetition, and visual consistency.

While you’ll be working closely with a supportive team, each artist is responsible for managing their own pace, maintaining quality, and hitting daily production targets. This role requires both collaboration and self-direction, and we’re looking for someone excited to grow over a long-term journey of technical skill building and artistic refinement.

A minimum two-year commitment is required due to the significant investment we make in training and mentoring each new production artist who joins our team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform all stages of ceramic production: clay prep, wheel throwing, trimming, underglazing, sgraffito, dip glazing, brush glazing, and kiln loading/unloading
- Complete high-volume, repetitive tasks with consistent shape and quality
- Maintain pace and precision to meet daily and weekly targets
- Follow detailed processes and visual standards across batches
- Lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long stretches
- Participate in team meetings, critiques, and skill development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and respectful workspace
- Uphold safety and production protocols consistently

**What We're Looking For**

**Required Qualifications**:

- Proven experience with ceramics (wheel throwing, handbuilding, glaze work, etc.)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and precision in fine detail
- Comfort with repetitive, production-based craft work
- Physical stamina and ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Currently live in Vancouver or the Metro Vancouver area
- Available for full-time, in-person work (no hybrid or part-time options)

**Compensation and Perks**
