**About this Job**:
The position is by Contractor for 1 year.
- **Payment**:_ $ 10,000 CAD in total. This amount it will be divided during the year of work, depending on the Events schedule.

- **Schedule**:_ Flexible. To be designed by Contractor with consideration of work hours of Latincouver.

**Responsibilities**:
**Key Objectives**:
To design, create and deliver a unique artist's production and schedule in all the projects Latincouver put out year around.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage Latincouver music and performing Arts Projects
- Oversee and follow up with activities of artists and musicians
- Hold auditions and interviews to discover potential artists
- Interpret scripts, select the cast, and advise in the interpretation and delivery of the performance.
- Suggest and connects with international artists for Csol and LAHM
- Review contracts, stage plot and backline for international artists and discuss with Production Manager
- Overview budget with Production Manager
- Negotiating contracts and collecting payments for artists
- Scheduling concerts, promotional appearances, interviews, etc.
- Require plot stage from artists and coordinating backline
- Meeting with suppliers and coordinating stage and shows needs
- Schedule and running rehearsals
- Coordinating the work of the stage and artists crew.
- Create programs for Csol and LAHM, being inclusive with new artists and performances
- Connect with venues and make sure sound and lights requirements are following the contracts
- Calling cues and possibly artists entrances during performance.
- Overseeing the entire show each time it is performed.
- Managing sound & stage manager and crew for Csol and Latin Heritage Month and other events
- Being in meeting for events and concerts
- The Artistic Director will work closely with the Production manager to determine additional responsibilities and/or update the scope of duties for the leadership team positions.
- Others duties as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma, certificate, or bachelor's degree in music
- A minimum of five years of artistic leadership at one or more non-for-profit organizations, with a successful record of demonstrated excellence in programming.
- A strong record of collaboration, leadership, and strong team building, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills - both written and verbal
- A national and international network of relationships
- A proven record of attracting and collaborating with artists of the highest calibre, developing new projects, co-productions, creative partnerships and nurturing artists.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

**Requirements and Skills**:

- High Intermediate English level, written and verbal.
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) plus other programs
- Fast-paced environment
- Work under pressure
- Tight deadlines
- Attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills - both written and verbal

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $10,000.00 per year
