**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team and contribute to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. This position offers an opportunity to support the educational and emotional development of young learners

**Duties**
- Support in implementing programs aimed at the overall development of children of different age groups
- Facilitate various activities (e.g., storytelling, book reading, arts and crafts, music and culture)
- Monitor all children with signs of learning, development and behavioral issues
- Provide fair and firm discipline always and respect the culture of all children
- Serve breakfast, lunch and snacks with light meal prep at designated times (be cautious while serving food for kids with allergies, read every child’s food restriction prior to serving)
- Set up and Sanitize rooms and furniture before and after food and naps
- Bathe and diaper the infants and toddlers
- Assist children learn good eating, dressing and toileting habits
- Follow daycare routines and schedules throughout the day
- Take children for outdoor play every day as per schedule up to acceptable weather conditions
- Closely monitor children’s activities indoor and outdoor to avoid any possible accidents or injuries
- Assist with book keeping on regular basis (Attendance In and Out, Children Injury Report)
- Assist with housekeeping duties in all areas of the daycare
- Assist in maintaining all daycare equipment and toys
- Maintain an environment that ensures the health, safety, and well-being of children
- Communicate effectively with my selves and parents regularly.
- Take part in all educational programs for self-development to meet standards offered by the daycare.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience working with children is preferred
- Knowledge or background in early childhood education is a plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents
- Strong communication skills and patience when interacting with children
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the daycare center

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

- Secondary School (preferred)
