**Job Purpose**:
Reporting to Gaming Centre Operations Manager, the Security Representative is responsible for the safety and general welfare of all Gaming Centre employees and guests. The position’s duty is to safeguard lives and property, maintain order, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures designed to protect the assets of the Gaming Centre. The incumbent provides superior customer service to all guests and employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Verify and sign off on table fills/credits and transport to designated areas.
- Carry out specific searches of the Countroom area and equipment leaving the Countroom.
- Provide employee escorts in accordance with current procedures and guidelines.
- Check locks and doors to ensure protection of building and assets.
- Communicate with Surveillance Room regarding escorts.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity.
- Respond to all alarms.
- Transport found monies in accordance with procedure.
- Assist with the removal of trespassers, excluded individuals.
- Be attentive to guests’ needs when they enter the building: greet guests, open doors as required, advise of ongoing and current events and provide directions when requested.
- Monitor guests entering the building. Check and validate identification as required, and ensure no minors enter the Gaming Centre.
- Complete visual inspection of bags and parcels permitted onto the Gaming Centre floor as required.
- Watch for suspicious activity, including intoxicated and excluded patrons.
- Conduct crowd control during opening.
- Secure/release common door between the Gaming Centre and the Sports Bar.
- Provide break relief for the Gaming Centre Attendant.
- Encourage a climate that supports diversity.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Primary Qualifications**:

- Completion of a Grade XII High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- A current Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry and must have a valid Provincial Security Guard License.
- A minimum of six (6) months experience in a customer service related industry and/or a security related field.
- Basic Math skills.
- Current certification in CPR/First Aid is required, which may be acquired on the job. Various related security courses will be provided as required.

**Secondary Qualifications**:
