**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Immigration Advising**:_
- Provide information on the acquisition or study permits, temporary resident visas and any other study permit related to other permits currently available in Canadian Immigration Programs;
- Advise students on Canadian culture;
- Provide assistance in academic onboarding;
- Provide one-on-one personal advising and group information sessions or workshops aimed at enhancing the experience and success for this diverse group of students;
- Provide accurate advising and support services about topics including, but not limited to, immigration as it pertains to international students, academic policies, college services, medical insurance and social/cultural/community transition;
- **Student Services**:_
- Represent Alpha College to prospective students and promote Alpha programs;
- Provide customer service to students and resolve problems in relation to their files;
- Plan, organize and encourage student participation in events and activities;
- Coordinate activities related to admission, registration and graduation; and
- Additional duties as assigned.
- **Administration**:_
- Organize, analyze, and update reports, spreadsheets, and templates for effective time management, accurate data integrity, efficient student communication, and student retention;
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and optimize the operations of the office;
- Perform administrative duties such as file maintenance and record systems;
- Provide administrative and secretarial support for student affairs activities; and
- Additional duties as assigned.

- Highly effective organizational skills, flexibility, and adaptability
- Strong cross-cultural communication (verbal and written) and efficient teamwork skills
- Highly detail oriented and the ability to effectively problem solve
- Ability to work independently, take responsibility and be self-motivated to achieve goals
- **Education / Experience Requirements**:_
- Previous customer service or education sector experience considered and asset
- Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor ( RIISIA ) or Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant ( RCIC ) certification
- Bachelors’ degree, post-graduate or diploma in related field required
- Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Power Point

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year
