My name is Ambyr and I'm the Controller of Nanaimo Chrysler. I am looking for someone to add to my team as an Accounts Payable clerk.
A little bit about my team:
My team consists of a Car Deal Poster (who I recruited from our service department's appointment coordinator role). I saw potential in her and she's been working with me for a year. She started out as the Accounts Receivable clerk and has moved her way up to Deal Poster in a short time. Her career goals were never to be in an accounting department, but has since fallen in love with the industry and is looking into University programs.
The old dealer poster is leaving us to move to Alberta. She was with me for 4 years and started out as my receptionist. She worked her way up and has exceeded my expectations immensely. She will be greatly missed. She started out her career as a Legal Secretary but upon coming to work for me has aspirations to continue her career in the car dealership accounting industry. I am so proud to see her spread her wings in an industry that I love.
The current Accounts Receivable clerk has only been with me for 2 months, but started out at the reception desk. I saw great potential in her abilities to accomplish tasks in a timely and efficient manner and decided to bring her up to the accounting office. She is thriving and learning a ton. I can't wait to see what her future brings.
A little about me:
I have worked for Nanaimo Chrysler since I was 18 years old, I am now 37. I started out as Accounts Receivable and worked my way into each sub-department of the accounting office. My mentor and previous boss retired 2 years ago and I took over as the Controller. I love my job and I love training new employees. I take pride in teaching someone, that never thought they would like accounting, that accounting can be fun and fulfilling. Every member of my team has had zero experience, but I saw something in them and I hope I can continue helping people to find something they love coming to work for.
Hours are Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
