Community Support Worker

**Job Overview**:
We are looking for a **compassionate**, **reliable**, and **dedicated Disability Community Support Worker** to provide essential **care and support** to individuals with **disabilities** in their **homes** or **community settings**. Your role will be key in promoting **independence**, **dignity**, and **quality of life** for the individuals you serve.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide assistance with **daily living activities** including **personal hygiene**, **meal preparation**, and **medication reminders/administration**:
- Offer **companionship** and **emotional support** to create a **positive environment**:
- Assist with **mobility**, **lifting**, and **transfers**:
- Observe and report any **changes in health or behavior** to appropriate personnel
- Deliver **individualized care** for clients with varying **disabilities**:
- Encourage **mental stimulation** and **social interaction** through **meaningful activities**:
- Maintain a **clean and safe environment**, including **light housekeeping**:
- Complete accurate **documentation** of care provided and client updates
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
- **Previous experience** supporting individuals with **disabilities** is strongly preferred
- Comfortable with **lifting**, **transferring**, and other **mobility assistance**:
- Strong **communication skills** to work effectively with clients, families, and care teams
- **Empathetic** and **patient demeanor**, with a genuine commitment to improving others' lives
- Must be **dependable**, **punctual**, and able to work **flexible hours**, including evenings or weekends if needed
- **Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check** (dated within the last 6 months) required before employment
- **Valid First Aid & CPR certification** (Basic or Standard level)
- Must be **legally authorized to work in Canada** (Valid **work or study permit** if applicable)
