**What we are looking for.**

We are looking for a **Plant Controller **to be responsible for the sound financial management of the manufacturing facility.

This is a **hybrid role**, based out of our **Toronto Head Office**.

**What you would be doing.**
- Directs budgeting and forecasting activities for the plant and prepares monthly financial reporting of results vs budget/forecast along with all supporting analysis and documentation
- Monitors and controls plant expenses and holds budget managers accountable for results
- Controls capital expenditure process for the plant, including detailed analysis of the request, cashflow forecast, calculation of return on investment, and payback period
- Develop and lead timely management reporting on key performance indicators
- Complete required plant journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Develop and maintain standard costing in D365 for the plant
- Partner with all departments of the plant to drive operational efficiencies and cost improvements
- Ensure SOX compliance, review risk control matrix relating to the plant, analyze deficiencies, work with plant team members to implement corrective procedures to eliminate deficiencies
- Assist as required during external and internal audits
- Provide proactive consultation, interpretation, and education on financial matters to team members at the plant
- Provide leadership to direct reports, set smart goals, provide feedback, coach, and mentor
- Support/adhere to plant initiatives including but limited to Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO, Health and Safety

**What skills and qualifications do you need?**
- CPA designation
- Experience in CPG or product-related companies is highly desirable and beneficial
- Experience building and maintaining standard costs in an ERP environment
- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset
- Must be able to communicate financial information in sound business language so people of all levels can understand
- Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills
- Strong technical accounting experience
