**Site Overview**: Flora Food Canada’s Brantford facility is a modern, 24/7 food production site specializing in plant-based dairy alternatives. It features high-care processing and clean-room packaging in a regulated, food-grade environment. **Position**:Full Time Security Guard
**Site**: Flora Food, 10 Craig St, Brantford, ON N3R 7J1
**Hours**:Continental Nights (1900-0700hrs)
**Payrate**: $18.11/hr.

**Averaging Agreement**:Overtime is Averaging Agreement after 88 Hours

- Be able to comprehend and demonstrate competencies of Flora Food and the Security policies and procedures with an ability to use a customer service approach.
- Be able to keep an open and objective mind, remembering the site's diverse community.
- Assist visitors, and employee during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed.
- Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly.
- Enthusiastically conducts proactive patrols (exterior and Interior), and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns.
- Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the public.
- Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources.
- Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries.
- Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person
- Maintain positive and constructive relationships with the Client’s staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required.
- Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client; Flora Food.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the client.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider.
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must.
- Minimum 1 year security related experience preferred.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, Municipal laws and By-laws.
- Position requires the ability to walk/stand/climb stairs for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
