**Position Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Oversee the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functions.
- Collaborate with the executive team as the head of the finance department.
- Manage financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and budgeting.
- Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
- Maintain and optimize the company’s accounting software systems.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Monitor cash flow and develop forecasts to meet the organization’s financial obligations.
- Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team.
- Review and file government returns, including WCB, EHT, GST, and PST.
- Oversee the annual financial compilation process, acting as the primary liaison with external accountants.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a **CPA certification**.
- Minimum of **2 years of experience** in a Financial Controller or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 14 months
Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
