As a result of continued growth and expansion, they are seeking an entrepreneurially driven Controller and savvy business leader to oversee all accounting department responsibilities at one of their newest dealership acquisitions in Richmond, BC.

**What You'll Do**:
As the Controller, you will be at the forefront of our clients' finance and accounting operations, with your responsibilities including the following:

- Leading and aligning the accounting departments focus to support organizational objectives.
- Overall responsibility for the dealership's assets together with the General Manager.
- Oversee staff on day-to-day accounting duties.
- Play an integral role in daily dealership duties including posting deals and transactions.
- Responsible for finalizing statements and submission to banks and manufacturers.
- Responsible for inventory financing and following financial institution rules with respect to payouts etc.
- Supervise Inventory reconciliations for all inventory including vehicles and parts.
- Responsible for year-end work papers.
- Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all departmental financial data.
- Improving organization profitability through information analysis, process improvement and cost management.
- Training and development of staff to satisfy operational and franchise requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

**What You Bring**:

- Post-Secondary education in Accounting or Commerce.
- CPA designation preferable but not required.
- 2-3 years' dealership experience required.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Strong leadership skills, with hands-on experience in managing staff.
- Passion for the automotive industry
