Land Conservation Administrator

**Reporting to**:Manager, People & Administration

**Purpose**: To provide support to the Land Acquisition and Stewardship team in the purchase and management of private land, to have consistent oversight of deadline-driven deliverables, ensure post-purchase planning and implementation is carried out and centralize administration for greater efficiency

**Role Summary**:
The Administrator will own responsibility for moving land projects through the acquisition and management process, coordinating multiple projects involving several team members and external partners and assisting in meeting any reporting requirements.

**Responsibilities**:
The Administrator’s responsibilities include:

- Create and maintain preferred vendor database, solicit and negotiate quotes for service
- Draft contracts for service, ensure deliverables received on time and of satisfactory quality and review invoices for payment
- Send out property purchase and sale agreements for signing and monitor acceptance deadlines
- Oversee accepted offers, monitoring and actioning deliverables
- Develop and maintain great relationships and serve as liaison between legal counsel, sellers, the Foundation team, vendors and funders, responding effectively to questions and requests
- Ensure liability insurance coverage is extended to all new acquisitions
- Oversee post-purchase needs, including initial security, cleanup tasks and leasing to co-management partners
- Oversee management planning process for purchased properties, including restoration and re-wilding efforts
- Ensure organized keeping of files and records

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in business or relevant field
- 2-3 years demonstrated experience in real estate administration and project management or a combination of relevant education and experience
- Advanced knowledge and experience in MS Office programs, Adobe Acrobat, and project management software. Familiarity with Asana and/or Landscape an asset
- Experience in land conservation / land trust work
