**Company description**

Based in Ontario, HFT is a telecommunications firm specializing in both Wireless and Wireline technology. With vast knowledge and experience in the field of fibre optics. We have multiple projects with different pay styles, hence the range. Also we do have union and non-union roles set up.

**Job Descriptions**:
**Driller**

The Driller will operate and maintain drilling equipment to install underground utilities safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of drilling equipment, processes, and site safety.
- **Responsibilities**:

- Operate Vermeer drilling rigs and related equipment.
- Monitor drilling operations and adjust techniques as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
- Collaborate with the foreman and locator to ensure accurate drill paths.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations.
- **Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of experience operating drilling equipment.
- Familiarity with drilling techniques and best practices.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Qualifications:

- Valid Ontario Class AR or AZ driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 1-year experience on a Vermeer Drill
- Ability to read and interpret Bell and Rogers drawings and Locates (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of telecom and fibre optic installation
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (rain, snow, wind etc.)
- Mini-Ex experience an asset
- Conduit/pipe laying an asset
- Cable pulling an asset

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
