**About the team**
The Investment Services team manage over $8 billion in assets primarily used to fund teacher benefits. The investment professionals use their financial skills to perform the day-to-day operations of the investment program.

**What you’ll do**
The Junior Investment Analyst supports investment portfolio administration and assists with the investigation and implementation of new investment programs. This position provides the incumbent with a working knowledge of investments and acts as an entry point into the asset management field.

Responsibilities include:

- Coordinates with custodial bank and investment managers to receive account information.
- Monitors investment holdings, checks and reconciles information to ensure accuracy.
- Contributes to the drafting of investment reports.
- Undertakes data analysis for projects and specific task assignments.
- Updates and modifies data management procedures as necessary.
- Assists in the maintenance and creation of proprietary databases.
- Supports the investment team during their due diligence process with respect to prospective fund managers and potential investments.
- Assists in research projects as requested by the Chief Investment Officer, portfolio managers and analysts.

This is a temporary position, for approximately one year.

**What you’ll bring**
- Possess or are actively working towards a degree in business administration plus 1-2 years of experience. Knowledge of financial markets and strong computer, mathematical and analytical skills are required.
- Interest in developing a working knowledge of financial markets and investment research.
- Desire to learn about various asset classes and markets.
- Analytical, writing and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work, collaborate and communicate in a professional team environment.
