**Summary**
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for assisting the sales team with a common goal of successful award of opportunities that are in alignment with the Company’s strategic plan and goals.
The role’s key objective is to combine project management, sales and technical skills to provide accurate and timely responses to responses to opportunities and successful project delivery. This role will include assisting with, estimating and coordinating all related activities for the sales team quotations but also continue to monitor projects through delivery, start-up and commissioning.
The TPM is a professional with the ability to combine many skills such as quoting and estimating, financial acumen, leadership, strategic thinking and collaboration. The TPM will also assist in creating company culture while helping to Make Each Customer Experience Extraordinary. They are a strategic thinker and are driven to ensure the team supports the Sales and Management Teams in the fullest capacity to optimize TPGS’s goals, strategies, and objectives. The TPM always presents ways to improve the Company’s performance and inspires people to exceed their own expectations.
**What You’ll Do - The Role (Responsibilities)**
- Primary Goals_
- Specific initiatives as assigned to achieve results in alignment with the Company’s goals and Strategic Plan
- Assist with reviewing, preparing, updating and responding to RFP responses
- Perform financial, legal and operational Risk Analysis of each RFP opportunity
- Review and understand drawings and technical specifications
- Support successful opportunities as they navigate from sales, to projects and right through to start-up and service
- Process Management _
- Refine process and workflow for continuous improvement and efficiency
- Manage internal and external relationships associated with projects
- Work with suppliers to keep abreast of new products/offerings and to ensure all necessary information is available to quote said products/services are opportunities arise
- Lead and/or assist with certain vendor relations and selection
- Technical Support_
- Provide technical assistance to colleagues to promote sales efforts
- Assist in solving technical issues vis-à-vis equipment procurement and code compliance
- Manage technical communications with the customers, supply base, and internally for each project
- Assist in estimating by interpreting drawings/specifications to determine what equipment needs to be scoped out
- Quality control and quality assurance including regular site visit inspections
- Other_
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and recommendations
- Participate in company-sponsored training programs as provided

- Other tasks and responsibilities as may be required from time to time consistent with this position and the job description and duties set out herein
- Must be familiar with CSA282
- Capturing lessons learned and leading the enablement of process and tool changes as a result
**What You Need (Requirements)**
- 5+ years of experience in a related role
- PMP or P. Eng is considered an asset but not mandatory
- Technical proficiency (electrical equipment, engines, power, control systems, electrical generation & BESS)
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent time, project, and stress management skills, with multi-tasking capability
- Excellent attention to detail, while working under tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- A valid passport for travel purposes and ability to enter the US is required
**Working Conditions**
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Overtime as required
- Lifting or moving up to 20lbs may be required
- Travel will be required between branches and within the territory on a consistent basis.
- Periodic travel away from Canada may be required
