**OUR COMPANY**
PWO Canada is a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier for auto manufacturers globally. We are one of five subsidiaries in the PWO AG Group, manufacturing lightweight metal components for the automotive industry.
**PURPOSE OF POSITION**
The purpose of the Cost Analyst position is to perform cost accounting duties including internal reporting, cost center accounting and project costing as well as produce financial analysis as requested. The incumbent would assist the Director of Finance and Controlling in performing various tasks within the controlling function.
**NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION**
The position will problem-solve with all PWO personnel, customers, and vendors when documentation clarification is required. The incumbent must be able to prioritize and organize work, especially at month and year-ends. External contacts may include customers, bank personnel, and financial auditors. Major challenges include finding information that is the responsibility of other departments (i.e. Sales, Quality Services, Maintenance, Logistics, Shipping and Receiving). Decisions made by the position impact the department in the short term.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**: A post secondary education in Business Administration or equivalent program is required. Professional accounting designation is an asset.
**Communication Skills**: Strong oral and written communication skills are required for normal business and technical communication.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**5.1 Controlling**
- Maintain cost center accounting by insuring proper allocation of costs to cost centers.
- Prepare and report monthly closing for cost centers.
- Maintain Cost Center structure and provide analysis.
- Develop and maintain standard machine, labour and overhead hourly rates.
- Support customer RFQ process as required.
**5.2 Internal Controls**
- Follow PWO Group directions to formulate policies and procedures to establish and improve internal controls at PWO CA.
- Oversee internal control environment at PWO CA by documenting, assessing and monitoring internal control framework.
- Lead non-conformance corrective action plan resulting from internal audits.
**5.3 Risk Management**
- Coordinate the systematic and timely identification, assessment, management, communication of risks and chances by the risk owners as part of annual business budgeting and forecasting process.
- Prepare and deliver Risk Reports based on annual budget and adjusted for following forecasts.
**5.4 Other**
- Support business budgeting and forecasting process.
- Prepare budget-to-actual reports for tooling projects as required.
- Support with reports and analysis for Monthly Reports Meetings.
- Support with collection of SRED hours and annual SRED return.
- Prepare documentation for customer audits.
- Prepares various other internal reports as required.
- Responds to all auditor requests for information during all audit periods as required.
- Assists SAP systems users with any problems as required.
- Performs work in a conscientious, accurate, business-like and courteous manner.
- Efficient use of electronic data collection software.
- Performs all duties within the 5S standards.
- Follows and performs to the processes and instructions outlined in the Process House that are applicable to the department.
- Compliance to all company HR policies and procedures.
- Responsible for working safely, complying with safety policies and procedures, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) required in the designated areas as per company policy.
- Responsible for working safely and keeping a safe work area for themselves and fellow employees. Reporting any unsafe working conditions, practices, and work-related injuries immediately to his/her Manager.
- Any other job-related duties characteristic to the position, as may be assigned from time to time by the Manager and management team.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
