Seasonal Assembler

Barbecues Galore has five gorgeous retail stores — three in Ontario and two in Calgary — offering the nation's best collection of barbecues, fireplaces and patio furniture. Our culture is built on respect, exemplary customer service, and of course an unflagging passion for grilled chicken wings. All we need is a few new team members with similar values and fresh perspectives to fill out our roster.

We're looking to add new members to our team with a similar love of chicken wings (or really any grilled good - vegans & vegetarians welcome) and a passion for delivering next level customer service. As a member of our Assembly Team (or Barbecue Butlers as we fondly refer to you), you are responsible for ensuring all barbecues, fire tables and other outdoor products that leave our warehouse have been assembled with the highest quality standards in mind. We're looking for hands-on individuals with good attention to detail. We'll provide all of the training you'll need to become an expert assembler. This is a seasonal position, but we will always find a permanent spot on our team if we're a good fit.

**Responsibilities**
- The number one priority for our Barbecue Butlers is to provide superior customers service. Although you're not in a customer facing role, having their best interest in mind is of high importance
- Following specs and instructions provided by manufacturers to build barbecues, fire tables, patio furniture and other miscellaneous outdoor products as required
- Ensure each assembled unit is clean and presentable (remove all fingerprints, smudges and dust)
- Test fire and leak check all products with any sort of natural gas or propane attachment
- Keep your work area neat and tidy - disposing of all cardboard and garbage and keeping your toolbox neat and organized (no need to bring your own tools - we'll provide everything you need)
- Entering customer equipment information into our computer system for warranty and service follow-up

**Qualifications**
- A genuine desire to help people and a healthy respect for co-workers are absolutely essential qualities we're looking for when adding people to our team
- Experience operating a forklift is an asset, however, forklift training is provided
- Ability to move/lift a minimum of 100lbs
- Previous work experience, while an asset, is not required as training will be provided
- A general level of knowledge working with computers. We provide training, however you must be able to navigate technology with some ease
- Must be able to work weekends and some evenings
- An interest in barbecues and food is always welcome We've got competitive barbecue teams on our staff, as well as some exemplary home grillmasters

**Compensation & Benefits**
- Compensation range: $15.50 - $17/hr
- An insanely good employee discount after three months
- Flexible scheduling and no late nights, we're only open until 6pm
- Lots of food. We have a lot of barbecues and we love to fire them up. We're always throwing something on the grill on a Saturday afternoon for the staff to enjoy
