Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our client's dynamic culinary team In this role, you will be at the heart of creating beautiful, delicious baked goods and desserts that delight our customers. Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and confections, ensuring consistency and quality in every item.
  • Decorate cakes and desserts with intricate designs, utilizing advanced cake decorating techniques to create visually stunning products.
  • Assist in food production processes by measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling finished products according to recipes and specifications.
  • Package baked goods carefully for retail display or catering orders, maintaining freshness and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering strictly to food safety and handling protocols.
  • Support food preparation activities for catering events or restaurant service, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality items.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, ovens, and other culinary tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes or seasonal offerings that excite our customers.
  • Uphold excellent customer service standards by engaging positively with customers when needed and providing product knowledge.

Experience

  • Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts within a commercial food production or restaurant setting.
  • Strong skills in food handling, safety procedures, and kitchen operations aligned with industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience with food packaging for retail or catering purposes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with culinary techniques such as knife skills, baking methods, and food presentation is highly desirable.
  • Previous roles in the food industry involving cooking, catering, or restaurant experience will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices to ensure compliance at all times. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
