Zaber is looking for a creative and enthusiastic CNC Machinist to join our machine shop team. You will be setting up and running CNC machine tools for the manufacture of aluminum and stainless steel components. You enjoy challenges and finding solutions where others see problems.

Working as part of the machine shop team you will be a key player in producing machine parts that make up our positioning devices. You will develop skills in our production, IQC and administrative processes and help to advance those systems.

The machine shop supports a number of processes within the company from building new prototypes, to machining custom components for customer needs, to building inventory for stock. As a member of the machine shop team, you will work not only with the shop team but also with engineering, production, IQC, purchasing and others.

**CNC Machinist Responsibilities**:

- Help develop processes for CNC mills, lathes and waterjet
- Build required tools and fixtures
- Setup machines for production
- Communicate with the design team for clarity or with suggestions
- Operate machines to tight tolerances and standards
- Inspect parts, ensuring that they conform to specifications

**CNC Machinist Qualifications**:

- Willingness to be a contributor to a highly productive team
- Some experience with CAM software
- Min of 5 years of machine shop experience
- Experience with 4 and 5 axis machining centers
- Basic computer communication and office skills
- Intimate knowledge of measuring tools and practices

**CNC Machinist Learning Opportunities**:

- The starting wage for the role is $30 - $40 depending on experience.
