About the Opportunity

TM Engineering is looking for a full-time
CNC Machinist
based in
Burnaby, B.C.
3rd/4th year Apprentices are welcome to apply

Shifts will be alternating on a weekly basis from 8:00AM-4:30PM to 9:30AM-6:00PM.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role is responsible for operating and setting up CNC machinery, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring high-quality, precision-manufactured components that meet strict industry standards.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operating and setting up CNC machines
• Interpreting and deciphering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Inspecting machined parts to ensure accuracy and compliance with tolerances
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Following and upholding all company safety and work policies
• Performing routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
• Safely moving parts and materials using overhead cranes
• Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot technical issues
• Supporting production schedules by completing tasks efficiently and accurately
• Utilizing measuring instruments and hand tools to verify work
• Contributing to continuous improvement of machining processes

About You

To qualify, you will need
completion of a related CNC Machinist training program or equivalent technical education.
A minimum of
2 years of experience
in a machine shop or manufacturing environment will also be essential. 3rd or 4th year Machinist Apprentices are welcome to apply.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

• Proficiency using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with maintaining machine tools and shop equipment
• Comfort working in a safety-driven, production-focused environment
