Second Floor Events is an open-concept 3,000 square-foot space with endless opportunities to customize. Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, Second Floor Events hosts Corporate Events, Weddings, Team meetings, Photoshoots, Trunk shows, and more.

Second Floor is currently looking for a hard working and driven individual to join our FOH team We offer a flexible schedule as well as the possibility to grow and learn within the hospitality and events business

**Responsibilities**:

- greet guests in a polite and professional manner
- make recommendations and answer all related inquiries
- adhere to events menu for designated events
- learn in house product / menus
- check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age
- enter drink orders accurately into POS system
- prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes
- basic bar garnish prep
- follow all standard specs and garnishing for cocktails
- attempt to limit problems related to customers' excessive drinking by following established procedures
- process transactions using the POS system
- process customer payments
- ensure clean glasses, bar equipment and working areas
- comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies
- monitor inventory
- take instruction from Bar/Event Manager and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- set up, tear down, and reset bar after each event in accordance with requirements for upcoming events

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Cocktail knowledge a must
- banquet/event service experience considered an asset
- CPR and First Aid Training considered an asset
- must be legal drinking age
- be able to work nights and weekends, sometimes days (have a flexible schedule)
- be able to work long hours
- be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- move about facility and stand for long periods of time
- reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 10-30 per week

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M5V 1K4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Bartending: 1 year (preferred)
