**Description**:Cables Plus is looking for an experienced technician to install, service, and repair a variety of structured cabling and security related products. - Duties and Responsibilities: _ - Installs a variety of structured cabling systems and appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer or Cables Plus. - Conducts service calls and pre-wires of commercial and residential properties. - Works safely and responsibly to avoid injury, damage to property, loss of unused materials, and cleans up installation debris. - Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures. - test operations of system(s) to meet customers requirements. **Education**:High school diploma or equivalent. Some technical school training desired. **Experience**: Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job training or classroom training with various cabling systems. Experience in installations and programming of CCTV, and ACCESS controls an asset. Must be able to meet government of Canada security screening to "reliable". WHIMIS training, working at heights training certificate is an asset. **Skills**:Ability to read blue prints and schematic drawings an asset. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times. Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service. **Salary**: Based on experience. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $18.00-$35.00 per hour Schedule: - Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: - Nepean, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: One location
