**Position**: Set-up Technician

**Reports To**: Shift Supervisor

**Job Scope**:
The Set-up Technician is working closely with the production supervisor and the press operators to ensure production schedules are met. The Set-up Technician performs and co-ordinates press set-up activities and coil changes with its peers to ensure production goals are met. The Set-up Technician performs the initial set-up, as well as process trouble shooting such as sensors and other mechanical issues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead, assist or independently set up progressive, transfer and fine blanking presses according to the setup instructions
- Verify process and products to correct dimensions and other specifications using gauges and other measuring equipment prior to hand off to press operators
- Transport and move dies and materials through facility on forklifts and cranes provided
- Ensure that sufficient material is staged and perform coil changes as needed with the material handlers
- Update records and ensure records are signed off in production packages/ERP system as required
- Coach press operators as needed to ensure the safe operation of the equipment
- Participate in the resolution of work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
- Initiate Maintenance Work Orders as required
- Perform regular maintenance on the draw lube systems and general press upkeep
- Assist in the creation and update of written procedures
- Follow written procedures and verbal instructions
- Follow Company policies and procedures
- Form part of the Emergency Extraction Team
- Maintain safety and housekeeping at all times
- Perform other duties as requested by the department supervisor or manager
- Ongoing training

Salary dependent on Experience and Qualifications

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
