**Overview**
The Blown Film Extruder Operator is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of blown film extrusion equipment to produce high-quality plastic film products. This role involves monitoring and adjusting machine settings, ensuring product specifications are met, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the production process. The operator is also responsible for conducting regular equipment inspections, performing routine maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Set up and operate blown film extrusion machinery according to the production specifications. Ability to set up bubble and string blown film line.
- Monitor machine parameters, such as temperature, pressure and speed to ensure the consistent production of quality film.
- Load raw materials into the extruder and monitor material levels throughout the production run.
- Blown film winder knowledge and experience
- Ability to setup and run inline bottom seal bag machine equipment
- Make adjustments to the machine settings as needed to maintain product quality.
- Identify and address any issues or malfunctions during the production process.
- Ability to troubleshoot the extrusion process.
- Familiar with gauge testing, blender hookups and blender operations.
- Familiar with dual turret and surface winders functions & operations.
- Collaborate with team members, team leaders to optimize the production processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean work space at all times and following all safety protocols required.

**Requirements**:

- Language: English is required
- At least 1 year of experience in the blown extrusion industry or co-extrusion is required.
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
- WHMIS and Forklift License
- Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

**Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities**

Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye coordination, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Combination of standing, bending and walking.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.05-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
