Insituform Technologies® Limited is looking for a Junior Construction Estimator working out of our Hamilton office and reporting to the Senior Estimator for Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and manage estimating, risk analysis, bids, proposals for projects
- Working with the Project Management team and Operations, Develop Job Estimates and Budgets.
- Write and develop work plans for evaluated submissions.
- Analyze documents, specifications, proposals, and addendums in preparation for pricing.
- On-Site investigation for traffic control, bypass, equipment access and ability to complete work as specified.
- Build Project Survey based on specifications, drawings, CCTV review and on-site conditions.
- Obtain input from Operations staff as appropriate.
- Procure sub-contractor quotes.
- Identify project risk and mitigation strategy.
- Compute costs by analyzing labor, equipment, material, rentals and subcontractors.
- Order Bid Bond, obtain proper Insurance Requirements, assemble and complete Bid Documents/Package.
- Prepare Final Bid/Proposal and track the completion of each task.
- Ensure submission of proposals or bid delivery to the customer.
- Enter the results and track the status of all Proposals and Bids in the project management system.
- Maintain an estimating database of history and costs.
- Procure all Plans and Specifications for all projects accepted by management.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent field experience, designation as a P.Eng. or C.E.T. would be considered an asset.
- Construction experience and specifically experience in water/sewer, open cut and municipal environment would be an asset.
- Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and pdf. Skills required include excel formulas (if statements, vlookup, sumifs, count, etc.), multi sheet referencing, converting pdfs to excel and formatting.
- Must be able to work accurately and effectively under pressure with hard deadline dates.
- Experience with databases, Primavera, InEight and JD Edwards software would an asset.
- Strong attention to detail with practical and logical thinking.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower organization.

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
