Kids3 Daycare in Downtown Edmonton, approved for 109 children is a Reggio based center and we follow Flight curriculum. We believes the success is based on enthusiastic and compassionate team of employees and parents. Kids3 Daycare is currently seeking a highly motivated person for the position of a permanent full-time Program Supervisor. The Director will report t the owner and will manage the child care services according to "The Child Care Act" and The Child Care Regulations. This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions: Manage approximately 20-22 permanent staff Report to Executive Director Act as a liaison between the center, staff and parent Register Children and help new families with transitions Perform administrative duties and record keeping Assisting with housekeeping duties Maintain daycare supplies and equipment Access the developmental level of children Plan and develop day-to-day activities Ensure the delivery of quality licensed childcare center Adhere to the Licensing regulations Provide quality child care Ability to multi task while maintaining a positive attitude Ability to problem solving and make decisions Team building skills with an emphasis on collaboration, communication and coordination First aid/CPR training and Criminal record check with vulnerable sector search prior to start date. Two year diploma in Early Childcare Education and at least 2 years experience in the child care setting as a Program Supervisor. Work Setting - Child Care Center Skills and Abilities: - Ability to Supervise - 20-22 staff Security and Safety - Criminal record check(abstract) Essential Skills - Continuous learning - computer use - Finding information - Planning and organizing Critical Thinking - Decision making - Problem solving - Working with others - Oral communication - Writing - Reading text Transportation/Travel Information - Own Transportation Credentials(Certificates, license, memberships, courses etc.) - Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree Additional Skills - Assist in maintaining records of children - Maintain day care supplies and equipment, Order supplies and equipment, Prepare budget, Supervise and Train staff/ trainees/ volunteers.
