**Position Summary**
Internally refereed to as Park Maintenance III
The Park Maintenance III position is responsible for providing semi-skilled heavy manual labour involving the use of hand and/or common labouring tools and operating mid-sized and specialized motorized operating equipment. This is a seasonal position and would be required to work a variety of shifts.
**Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Semi-skilled heavy manual labour
- Adhering to all safety and environmental protection programs, policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Operating motorized equipment including, dump truck, scissor lift, forklift, skid steer, and mid-size commercial/farm tractors (up to 70HP).
- Completing daily logs as directed, which may include vehicle inspections, vehicle sign outs, fuel logs and vehicle maintenance action sheets.
- Performing heavy manual labour assignments ranging from: assisting with the setup for high profile events, digging trenched, moving furniture, setting up construction fences, hauling boxes, pulling garbage, pulling weeds, cutting lawns and hanging Christmas lights.
**Qualifications**
- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license (non-GDL), with a minimum of one (1) year driving experience required
- Minimum of two (2) years forklift operating experience and/or relative equipment experience
- Aptitude to perform heavy lifting and manual labour
- Exceptional customer service, communication and time management skills
- WHMIS Certification
- Must have CSA approved steel toe work boots
- Must be comfortable working around animals in an agricultural setting
**Physical Demands**
- Frequent lifting upwards of 50 lbs. with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Pushing, pulling, crouching, bending, and reaching frequently.
- Exposure to dust, fumes, gas, odors’, animal dander, bedding waste and variability of seasonal climate.
- Physical and visual acuity is required.
