The **John Noble Home**(JNH) is a “Class A” facility and has a proud and long-standing care-giving tradition, dating back to 1881. Today, we offer several different quality programs devoted to senior housing, care, and services that operate within our care campus. All meet and serve the needs of both Brant County and the City of Brantford and their respective constituents as we are a municipally operated and governed facility.
The John Noble Home consists of 156 long term care beds with ongoing expansion, a community-based day & stay program and senior’s apartments.

Working under the direction of the Nutrition & Housekeeping Manager/Registered Dietician, the laundry processor will clean resident personal clothing, rough linen for residents and other departments in accordance with the LTCH Act, 2007. Duties will include: Collect soiled personal and rough linen from resident home areas and laundry chute. Sort, weigh, load and unload washers and dryers. Hang and deliver personal clothing. Fold bedding and linen, load carts and deliver to resident home areas. Wash speciality items including: slings, privacy curtains, microfiber cloths, Swiffer’s, kitchen cloths, maintenance cloths etc. Label resident clothing and belongings and maintain resident records. Maintain records of linen weights for statistical purposes. Liaise with residents, families and other disciplines regarding lost or missing items.

**KEY QUALIFICATIONS**(but not limited to):

- High School Diploma
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English;
- Must be in good health and physical fit lifting approximately 20 lbs bags of linen routinely, bending and twisting
- Standing, walking, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering and/or feeling, repetitive hand motion required on some jobs for 30 minutes (i.e., folding clothing, sorting socks).
- Demonstrated by a good attendance record;
- Motivated and reliable with a keen interest in working in a long-term care setting;
- Adaptable to work involving Laundry equipment, lifting and performing repetitive tasks; general understanding of and willingness to work in accordance with the Occupation Health & Safety Act and Infection Control Guidelines.

Check (dated within the last 6 months) from their local police service before employment can begin. Applicants must also provide proof of a negative result from a 2-Step TB Skin test (dated within 6 months) before employment can begin.
