**Job Title**: Addictions Counsellor - Project CHOICES
**Position Type**: Part-Time (18.5 hours/week, 1-year contract)
**Location**: Multiple sites and community locations
**Hourly Wage**: $24.00-28.00

Oshki-Giizhig Inc. is proud to partner with **Project CHOICES,** a program designed to reduce the risk of alcohol-exposed pregnancies (AEP) through harm reduction, trauma-informed care.

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver Project CHOICES programming using a harm reduction and person-centered lens
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage participants in open, supportive conversations
- Provide trauma-informed support tailored to the unique needs of participants
- Travel to multiple sites and partner organizations to facilitate sessions
- Build rapport and collaborate with external collaterals and service providers
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training related to addictions and trauma-informed practice

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Addictions Counselling, Social Work, Indigenous Studies,, Psychology, or related field
- Certification or formal training in **Motivational Interviewing** is strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (travel required)
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check (or willingness to obtain)

**Contract Details**:

- Part-time position: 18.5 hours per week
- 1-year contract, with possibility of extension based on funding and program needs
- Flexible schedule required for outreach and travel to various locations
