We are offering a fast-paced, career elevating opportunity at our new highly automated state-of-the-art baking facility in Cambridge, Ontario. The expectation for every employee of this unique and flexible facility is to work cooperatively as part of the team to produce safe, high quality food products, efficiently and effectively.

As an integral team-member you will be required to help out as needed to accomplish this goal, regardless of the position, consistent with Dare values.

This is a unionized position

Rate of Pay $24.75/hour

Shift: Weekend Nights - Friday 12 hours, Saturday 12 hours & Sunday 12 hours (36 hours).

Hours of work: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am

**Key Responsibilities**

Receiving: 5-10%
- Receiving deliveries of raw materials and/or packaging supplies, including signing and filing BOL’s and other receiving documents.
- Use software to enter all shipments into the appropriate data base (SAP, RMS & WMS) inventory tracking & Quality Counts.
- Support Process and Packaging Technicians by delivering materials on a timely basis.
- Ensure RMS (raw material system) and packaging lines are fed on a continuous basis.
- Perform inventory counts for system adjustment when required.
- Monitor and ensure material is available for immediate scheduling needs, and determine root cause of discrepancies that may exist.

Sanitation: 25%
- Demonstrate food safety and quality concepts (e.g. cleaning and sanitation of equipment) in a baking facility.
- Maintain a high level of sanitation in all areas of the facility.
- Complete all daily sanitation tasks, as per the Sanitation Checklist.
- Complete additional non-daily cleaning tasks, as per the required frequency.
- Ensures that all manufacturing equipment are cleaned, sanitized and handled according to company standards.
- Assists in the cleaning of production lines and ensures that lines are properly cleaned within the acceptable time frame.
- Exposure to/working with chemicals (detergents bleach, etc.)
- Experience with moving and dismantling equipment to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation.
- Lockout
- tag out experience

Material Handling:

- Operate and monitor using computerized and controlled systems associated with the production of material; including bins, storage containers and baking operating equipment.
- Ensure accurate information of scale weights and transactions are recorded daily.
- Load and receive incoming and outgoing trucks per plant requirements.
- Work effectively in a food processing environment in a safe manner and with high standards for product quality, housekeeping and sanitation in accordance to Food Safety procedures.
- Move raw materials, finished product and packaging materials throughout the plant in support of wort production and packaging.
- Keeping a working stock of raw materials required online at all times.
- Essential Skills and Qualifications.

- Post-Secondary School Degree/Diploma.
- Strong technical skills and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
- A history of meeting and exceeding challenging performance goals; a desire to “win.”
- Ability to perform tasks effectively both individually and as a member of a team.
- 1-3 years relevant working experience in a food environment as well as previous reach truck/counter balance certification(s) will be considered assets.
- Knowledge of the principles of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing would be considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills
