**In this role you will**:

- Be responsible for ensuring the continuity of supply of all production materials.
- Design Category Strategies for key assigned categories.
- Review market trends, identify new sources of supply and profile vendors.
- Assist and lead in supplier negotiations and implement all types of supply and stocking agreements and/or purchase orders to meet business goals while sustaining positive relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor, plan, review and negotiate supplier contracts to prevent expiration of agreements to maximize margin performance.
- Recommend and implement strategic procurement process improvement initiatives to reduce risk and strengthening the relationship to our vendors.
- Evaluate and recommend cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes.
- Perform detailed cost analysis and cost reduction activities.

**You Have**:

- 7+ years’ experience in procurement with a focus on strategic sourcing, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Completed certifications or on going courses on supply chain such as CIPS or SCMP.
- Strong working knowledge of MRP, BOM structure and ERP systems (SYSPRO ERP experience an asset).
- Good understanding of Source to Pay (S2P) process.
- Remarkable negotiation and communication skills.
