**Traffic Control Person (Flagger)**
Bourque Security Security Services NS is seeking hard-working, dependable, and safety-oriented workers to join our traffic control team. As a Traffic Control Person, you shall be responsible for assisting and the directing of traffic through our temporary workplaces under the supervision of a Temporary workplace Signer and in accordance with the Nova Scotia Traffic Control Manual.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Work under the direction of a certified Temporary Workplace Signer (TWS).
- Assist in setting up signs, bases, cones, and other equipment used in temporary workplaces for construction/maintenance and utility work.
- Safely direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic through the Temporary Workplace.
- Maintain professional communication fellow TCPs and your TWS to ensure continued site safety.
- Maintain a professional & polite attitude with the public and clients at all times.
- Allow work to proceed safely and efficiently.
- Arrive well rested and with the required Personal Protective Equipment for every shift.
- Report all unsafe work situations and conditions to the TWS
- Other duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be of good physical and mental alertness.
- Must be of mature judgement.
- Must be of pleasant, cooperative manner.
- Must be able to lift and move objects of 50lbs.
**Certifications**:
- Drivers License (Preferred/not required)
- Nova Scotia TCP Certificate (Preferred/will train)
- First Aid Course (preferred)
- WHMIS (preferred)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.75-$16.25 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 50 per week
