Job Overview

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Receive and process prescription orders from patients, doctors, and healthcare facilities
- Be able to work at the maximum scope of practice as a licensed pharmacy technician
- Assist Pharmacy Manager in managing the team of Pharmacy Assistants
- Verify prescription information and dosage
- Maintain accurate patient records and inventory
- Perform pharmacy calculations and measurements
- Assist in managing drug inventory and ordering supplies
- Provide excellent customer service and answer patient inquiries
- Operate pharmacy computer systems and software
- Comply with all pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures
- Assist with insurance claims and billing

**Qualifications**:

- Current Pharmacy Technician registration/certification in Alberta
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software(Kroll - minimum 2 years) and inventory management systems
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug classifications
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program
