Assistant SPA Manager

**The Role**:
Oversee daily operations of the spa, including staff, training, spa retail boutique, including sales, customer service, and inventory management. Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and meet revenue targets. Responsible leading and coaching a team that delivers an elevated guest experience. Manage guest communication and bookings to maximize revenue. Support the owner in developing and implementing strategic plans to improve overall operations of the business.

**Responsibilities**
- Guest Experience Team: Recruiting, training, scheduling, managing, and evaluating staff performance
- Guest Communication: Coordinating through various channels and ensuring timely resolution of any guest complaints
- Bookings: Managing guest bookings through our booking software, ensuring that the bookings are maximized to reach our service sales targets.
- Retail: Managing inventory and keeping the team engaged by providing monthly education on retail products.
- Develop and implement retail strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Helping develop and implement strategic plans for growth and expansion via e-commerce, retail increases and making sure the entire desk team is trained to look ahead and maximize bookings and reduce gaps.
- Financial Admin: Overseeing budgets with regards to desk hours, retail goals, and reconciling cash-outs, month ends, and room charge reports.
- Team Culture: Develop and maintain a positive, respectful and genuinely happy culture within the spa team
- Ensure all treatments are being performed the same according to products and procedures. Re-train and provide training updates as needed.
- Act as Manager on duty when Front Desk Manager is away

**Experience**
- Proven experience in either a retail management or a hospitality leadership or customer service based role
- Experience in Massage or Beauty Therapy an asset but not required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Willingness to learn some massage and facial skills in order to better onboard, and recruit team members
- Passion for the wellness industry in general
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proficient in administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and reporting
- The ability to legally work in Canada and have secured housing in Whistler - we do not have staff accommodation

**Compensation**:

- Base salary 50k - 60k depending on experience and skill set
- Plus sales commissions

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
