**Starting Salary**:$36,000 - $40,000, commensurate with experience
**Position Status**:Full-Time, with benefits and a complimentary YMCA membership

**Nature & Scope**:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Child & Youth Supervisor is responsible for member satisfaction in land programs for children ages 3 months to 12 years through the development, evaluation, and promotion of child/youth land programs. This role is a member of the Branch Leadership Team, which involves strategic planning for the branch on an annual basis, attendance at monthly leadership meetings, involvement on association committees, team leadership responsibilities, AVOCADO program support, training, and compliance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the oversight, development, scheduling and delivery of child/youth programs and member engagement activities (approx. 200-300 CY members)
- Recruitment, training, and mentoring of all staff and volunteer team members for the purpose of delivering excellence in customer service through children’s programs and services
- Provide direct leadership in programs modeling/ mentoring service excellence
- Ensure program registration, reporting, waitlists for all children’s programs are closely monitored and adjusted accordingly to meet member expectations
- Implement association program curriculum, physical literacy, and train staff teams monthly as outlined in annual staff training plan
- Ensure child safety and protection protocols followed, monitored with staff trained in all programsStrong coaching and guidance provided to direct delivery team for service excellence and strong communication skills with parents
- Strong reporting of all programs stats to support grant reporting, branch service stats, and informing operational decisions
- Work collaboratively with Child Youth Program Group to focus on key initiatives

**Qualifications**:

- Current CPR-C and Standard First Aid
- Education in Recreation Leisure or Child Development Studies
- Excellent communication skills
- 2-3 years supervisory experience
- Must provide a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search as per the Association’s policy
