The Advisor, Performance & Support is responsible for the supervision and oversight of all Flight Attendant performance and adherence to required standards, including those pertaining to safety and inflight service. This position encompasses recognition, performance management, ability management, career development (LIFT), employee relations, health and wellness programs and other functions as needed. The Advisor, Performance & Support, Inflight must support and influence the behaviour of Flight Attendants to meet business objectives.
The Advisor, Performance & Support, Inflight reports to the Leader, Base Operations East. This individual will be expected to be fully qualified as a Swoop Flight Attendant and operate in this capacity when necessary. This role requires the ability to work flexible hours as needed for operational coverage and the ability to travel as needed.
**Responsibilities**
Flight Attendant Professional Standards:
- Conduct performance management in accordance with Swoop guidelines in conjunction with the Team Lead and the Human Resources team, ensuring that performance is maintained
- Coach, mentor, motivate and support Swoop Flight Attendants
- Investigate and respond to internal and external feedback pertaining to Flight Attendant performance
- Provide clear, consistent, and timely feedback
- Uphold a standard of best practices related to crew performance to ensure a highly engaged workforce that is informed, high performing and aligned to the traveller experience deliverables
- Provide guidance and direction to Flight Attendants in aspects of performance, including compliance with service procedures, uniform standards, Company policies and traveller experience
- Monitor attendance & punctuality to a satisfactory level and implement controls
- Conduct inflight assessments on flight attendants
**Base-Specific Functions**:
- Manage onboarding and reoccurring base specific requirements for Flight Attendants (ie. parking, RAIC issuance, uniforms)
- Ensure accurate records on Flight Attendant performance are maintained and that these records comply with internal and external policies
- Maintain performance driven Inflight forms
- Assist base operation to ensure on time performance is met (SPOT - Safely Performing On Time)
- Collaborate with other stakeholders as required including but not limited to; Participation in the internal and external recruitment for Inflight in conjunction with the HR department; Involvement with Aviation Occupational Health and Safety; Involvement with safety team; Involvement with Inflight on-board product, service initiatives and corporate initiatives
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and Apple Ipad
- Knowledge of Comply365, Sabre Crew Trac and SharePoint is an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of the contents of Company Operations Manuals specific to the Flight Attendant Manual (FAM) is required
- Knowledge and understanding of CARS and CASS and training standards/TP12296
- Previous management and/or supervisory experience is an asset
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
