**Job Description**: **Job Summary**: We currently have a Child and Youth position available with our Intensive Community Support program (ICSS) in the Simcoe program. The Intensive Community Support Services Worker (ICSS) provides service in a variety of office, community, or home settings. The ICSS Worker provides observation/assessment to assist the clinical team in understanding the functions of behaviours of complex child/youth, as well as intervention with families to enhance caregiver skill development and the child’s/youth’s prosocial behaviour and better overall social functioning. You would work closely with the clinical teams to provide services to individuals and their families. This would include conducting functional behavioural assessments, the completion of behavioural support plans, coaching caregivers in developing and implementing consistent and functional structure and routines in the home environment, and coaching clients and parents to develop and generalize skills to be successful (e.g., life skills, anxiety exposure, parent coaching, connecting to community resources. ICSS worker would be involved in teaching and coaching skills in a group format such as Triple P and Unified Protocol. **Qualifications**: - Child and Youth Worker Diploma, or equivalent post secondary education - A minimum of 5 years of clinical/mental health experience working with complex needs clients. - Prior community/home or school based experience - Experience working with families experiencing parenting challenges and child mental health and/or behavioural issues. - Experience working with families in crisis situations - Ability to effectively deescalate and manage crisis and conflict situations in the moment - Familiarity with fundamentals of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, parent management training, and behaviour management, Triple P, unified protocol would be an asset - knowledge and the ability to support families to navigate community services within Simcoe County would be an asset - Excellent communication, organizational, engagement and sustainability skills. - Ability to work with youth and families in a culturally sensitive manner. - Computer literacy and effective report writing abilities. - Enthusiasm, versatility and adaptability skills. - Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of an interdisciplinary team. - Group dynamic skills is required - Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical.
