HR Generalist

**Primary Objectives of the Role**
- Full cycle recruitment: creating job postings, screening resumes, coordination of interviews, interviews and prepare offer of employment, reference and background checks/drug screens
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation, collect and review new hire paperwork to ensure compliance for file tracking and completion
- Assist management team with succession planning and professional development initiatives
- Create and maintain job descriptions
- Respond to various questions and requests for information regarding HR
- Facilitate Health & Safety Committee meetings, including taking meeting minutes, and when required, conduct site inspections, propose to management action steps to be rectify issues
- Manage, and enforce the performance management process
- Support the management in creating a positive culture, create and roll out annual surveys to assess employee engagement
- Complete verification of employment and travel letters as required
- Manage the termination process and conduct exit interviews
- Other duties as required
**Critical Skills**
- Strong computer skills in MS Office and Outlook
- Professional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and maintain strict confidentiality
- Efficient time management skills, with the ability to balance numerous requirements
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently as well as part of a team
**Qualifications: Education and Experience**
- Minimum College Diploma
- 2 years of Human Resources Experience, preferably in the autobody industry or in a trades environment
- Previous experience working in a corporate HR dept is preferred
- A certificate/diploma in HR is also an asset
**Work Environment and Requirements**
- The environment for this role is fast paced and complex, involving urgent timelines, multiple competing priorities and managing numerous stakeholders
**Travel Requirements**
- On occasion, travel may be required

**Salary**: $42,743.03-$81,298.19 per year
