Position Overview:
In this position you will be accountable to lead a team in delivering in the areas of parts functional excellence and continuous improvement with the objective of optimizing our customers’ service experience and positively impacting business results across all regions.

You will also be involved in the Inventory management and procurement operations to improve fill rates/parts availability and reduce costs/down-time for Finning and its customers.

As the leader, you will responsible for a group of parts technicians that will support the business/branches and customers as it relates to any day to day performance issues within the expanded mining parts group.

**Job Description**:

- Provide direction and leadership to Expanded Mining Parts improvement initiatives aimed at improving Finning’s financial and operational performance
- Drive collaboration between Caterpillar, Finning Business Units and Parts Supply Chain members to drive the right behaviours and measurable results in a reasonable amount of time as per the Expanded Mining parts strategy
- Lead the teams by example on a day-to-day basis while developing a positive/engaged work culture that is performance-driven, customer focused, creative and highly collaborative to deliver on goals
- Coach and mentor parts staff, by driving accountability, commitment and ownership to surpass stakeholder expectations; develop succession plans
- Identify gaps and work with leadership to develop solutions relating to Strategy, Structure, Shared Vision, Systems, Style, Staff and Skills to achieve desired Expanded Mining parts maturity and long-term goals
- Provide timely and proactive updates to management chain on all fronts including major supply chain improvement initiatives
- Develop and manage strong relationships with Caterpillar stakeholders, other vendors and branches
- Conduct and manage supplier performance (cost, quality, service dimensions) focusing on Parts Inventory for Expanded Mining parts
- Conduct surveys or meetings with Finning business units/branches and key customers within Forestry and Construction industry to understand their concerns and feedback for parts supply chain; take corrective actions and steps while closing the loop
- Drive compliance and enforcement across branches and suppliers through effective use of policies and procedures, relationships and management techniques

Qualifications:

- Journeyman Red-seal Parts Ticket
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- 5+ years in warehouse/ parts position (preferably in the mining sector).
- BBA would be an asset
- Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Stakeholder and change management skills
- Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, people and team development skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Strategic business planning
- Understanding of parts and shop counter sales process
- Understanding the customer relationships across any regions
- Understanding of product support sales process
