Maple Leaf Construction Ltd. is currently looking for a seasonal **ASPHALT PLANT GROUNDPERSON**

**This position will travel to our various asphalt plants around Manitoba and not necessarily be located solely in Winnipeg.**

**Duties include**:

- Perform general maintenance, repairs and regular service on equipment as needed and on a regular basis
- Perform pre-shift inspection, maintain equipment repairs/maintenance records
- General cleanliness of assigned equipment
- Communicating effectively with Plant Operator
- General labour duties and contributing to the team as needed

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of Asphalt plants, conveyors, loaders, equipment considered an asset
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools
- Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, or pull, push, bend and lift up to 80 pounds
- Minimum of 1 year related experience required
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Welding/torch cutting experience desired

**Salary**: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
