**Project Manager (General Contracting)**

**Reporting to: Manager**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Participate in building construction projects in the City of Ottawa and surrounding area
- Lead, plan, organize all aspects of projects in accordance with project specifications
- Oversee and provide valuable direction to supervisors and various sub-contractors
- Participate in all on-site project activities
- Manage the CPM schedule (after developing with Scheduler) with the assistance of the Superintendent & Project Coordinator
- Prepare look-ahead schedules for resource planning
- Work with Client/ Architect to quantify all monthly contract billings
- Review and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices
- Review, track, analyze and report on project financials monthly
- Review, analyze accounts payable material orders
- Identify and negotiate additional work throughout project with Client/ Architect/Contract Administrator to ensure changes are properly documented
- Attend site and Client/ Architect /Contract Administrator progress meetings
- Engage and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure common goals are achieved and corporate interests are kept in mind
- Other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years directly related experience
- Architectural or Civil Engineering diploma or degree program is an asset
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities will be considered
- Experience with COR(Certificate of Recognition) an asset.
