**KEY FUNCTION**:
Provide access to evidence-based, short-term, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and related approaches to adults Ontarians who experience mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and anxiety-related conditions.
**REPORTING**:
Under the general direction of the Clinical Manager, Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program.
**DUTIES**:
- Provide triage and assessment to clients seeking Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) services
- Conduct clinical assessments (e.g. Diagnostic Assessment Research Tool, Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), General Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7)) to identify symptoms experienced by clients and to create individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group protocol-based structured psychotherapy, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), in adherence with the OSP Clinical Model and Training guidelines to clients with mood, anxiety, concurrent disorders and trauma experiences.
- Provide psychotherapy services virtually and in person based on client and program needs.
- Participate in the OSP training program and ongoing education as required.
- Participate in regular clinical consultation and related activities in adherence with fidelity monitoring requirements and program guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports in adherence with Regulatory College and program specific requirements, including collecting relevant data to evaluate client and service outcomes.
- Collaborate with team members across the OSP program’s network of organizations in the provision of care.
- Contribute to ongoing program development and program evaluation and implement new practices as required.
- Assist in providing service navigation for clients whose needs are beyond the offerings of the OSP program.
- Work in partnership with clients, their formal and informal supports and the team to support clients’ successful integration into their communities.
- Contribute to program development, research and educational activities of the service.
- Determine and align improvement projects with HSN’s Strategic Plan; monitor and adjust to achieve goal outcomes.
- Participate in education and training specific to current, relevant federal and provincial health and safety legislation, standards and guidelines.
- Educate and promote health, safety and wellness in the work place.
- Represent the department or program on various committees and in meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**EDUCATION AND TRAINING**:
- Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the applicable regulatory college (e.g. College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO), Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers in conjunction with a Master of Social Work degree (MSW) (OCSWSSW), College of Psychologists of Ontario at the Psychological Associate level (CPO), or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
- Additional specialized training in CBT, CPT, and Prolongued Exposure (PE) is preferred.
- Formal CBT and CPT training with supervision/clinical consultation following the OSP model is preferred.
- Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.
**EXPERIENCE**:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the triage, clinical assessment, and treatment delivery of evidence-based CBT and CPT following the OSP model.
- Experience in in-person and virtual care delivery is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working in a community-based or outpatient setting.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing evidence-based CBT treatment models with clients experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and anxiety related conditions.
**KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES**:
- Demonstrated knowledge and practiced skills in providing culturally safe and responsive mental health services to clients of diverse ethno-racial and cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the science and practice of structured psychotherapy including a full range of psychotherapeutic and assessment techniques to assess, plan, coordinate and implement specific clinical protocols.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CBT, CPT and other evidence-based structured psychotherapies and experience working with people with depression and/or anxiety (e.g. obsessive-compulsive concerns and post-traumatic stress).
